Arlington House at Arlington National Cemetery is hosting an African American Heritage Series with a lecture about The Colored Troops on Saturday, 7/23 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

There is no fee to visit Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial.
House Tours
When visiting Arlington House, you may walk through the mansion at your own pace or you can ask if there is a scheduled tour available. The tours start on the hour and take between thirty and forty-five minutes. Normally, tours occur on weekends in the winter or every day in the summer. The guided tours take you to areas not normally accessible and meet under the large tree behind the house.
The Museum and Enslaved Quarters
The Robert E. Lee Museum at Arlington House contains exhibits and artifacts about Robert E. Lee and his
family. Included are original objects from the Lee and Custis families.

The enslaved quarters are located on the North and South ends of Arlington House and help to tell other parts of the Arlington House story.

Public Transportation:
The Memorial is accessible by the Blue Line of the Metro subway system. The Arlington Cemetery subway station is near the Visitor Center for the cemetery.
Car:
Arlington House is located inside Arlington National Cemetery. From Washington DC you can drive to the cemetery by crossing the Memorial Bridge. In Virginia
Parking:
Unauthorized vehicles cannot drive into the cemetery. Parking for Arlington House is available at the Arlington National Cemetery Visitor Center. Handicapped parking is available at the Old Administration Building, located behind Arlington House.
