The National Museum of African American History & Culture opened on September 24, 2016.

The 1st Year Anniversary Celebration of the NMAAHC on Sunday, September 24, 2017 was very memorable. We had the chance to meet the Director of the museum Lonnie Bunch at Sweet Home Cafe just before the Flash Mob Popup Church Service with a surprise choir singing gospel songs and negro spirituals.
