"February is Black History Month. This is a recognition that has been around since 1926, when it was created as Negro History Week by Carter G. Woodson. It has changed over the years from a week to a whole month dedicated to Black history. But even that may change. Critics on both the left and the right have called Black History into question. Conservatives, like FOX News contributor Stacey Dash, have said that Black History month promotes segregation. On the other hand, some Black historians have said that Black history should not be confined to one month and would be better integrated into American history in general." Read more

As BLACK HISTORY MONTH has passed us. And now after thorough historical research at the Smithsonian, there was significantly found facts that an African American Slave was the major reason of how and why America won its independence as a young nation during the American Revolutionary War. But you will never find this information in the high school and college history classes. Now those truths will be inserted in those history books. The American Revolutionary War was won in Yorktown, Virginia during 1781 as America became a new nation on the merits of an African slave's bravery and heroics. In the near future, the CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS will propose a bill to Congress for James Armistead to become a national hero and America will have an official holiday.

The historical and educational project was historically researched for 3 years at the Smithsonian Institute by Edward Lowther's organization called The Afrocentric Historical Coalition Society which has now formed a joint partnership with the new African American museum called National Museum of African History and Culture (NMAAHC) in Washington DC. Lift Every Voice Celebration Event, UNESCO (United Nations) and the COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG FOUNDATION. Do understand that UNESCO (United Nations) is a joint historical project that gives accurate facts about the European slave trade expanded through America to the lands of the Caribbean during the American Revolutionary War.

Slavery and Remembrance is a jointly sponsored initiative between United Nations (UNESCO’s Slave Route Project) and The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation that engages the public as well as experts with issues relating to slavery, the slave trade, and ways in which both are remembered today throughout the Atlantic world. More than fifty museums, historical sites, and institutions in Europe, Africa, and the Americas have joined the project thus far.
